Good night

The
SOLARIUM engineering team has a major challenge ahead, which is the IP
(Integration Project) proposed by the Faculty of Technology and Innovation
SENAI CIMATEC. These projects take place in the graduation of Mechanical
Engineering. This time, the disciplines involved are: Machines Elements (Lecturer: Mauricio Camargo
de Oliveira), Foundry Processes (Lecturer: Fábio André Lora) and Technical
English (Teacher: margareti Hitomi Nacamura Menezes). We also have the
Mechanical Engineering course coordinator (Guilherme Souza).
The
SOLARIUM engineering fictitious metal industry whose main competency is the machining
using EDM processes, and whose directorship is uncomfortable with their current
allocation options for the large amount of brass wire used for its machines of
EDM wire. His reel suppliers of new brass wire are not offering favorable terms
for the collection of the material and the brass wire is being discarded as
scrap or through junkyards and this does not guarantee an adequate recycling.
In this scenario, the company's management decided to study alternative
products for domestic consumption that could be made with this material, among
them, brass rivets are an alternative. For this, the Projects department, where
we work, was asked to develop seals using molten rivets made of recycled brass, that can be able to resist a request of 20 kN.
We
will post weekly informing our
procedures and advances and a special section dedicated to the glossary
concerning the technical terms used.
